They both are great pets and it depends on which one you want.
Both birds can be feed appels (no pips), apricots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, corn , oranges, peaches, pears (no pips) and silverbeet. A budgie can also be feed chickweed, dandelion and pua. Some things you should NOT FEED your bird is lettuce, avocado, rhubarb, chocolate, alcohol,fruit seeds or caffeine.You don't want to face the consequences of having a very ill bird. If your unsure about feeding your bird a certain food don't feed it! You will also want to teach, train and reward your bird with treat. - However only feed them 10% of their diet.
